Dylan Alanis is a 2021 2B/RHP/SS with a 5-9 135 lb. frame from Upland, CA who attends Ontario Christian High School. Young, athletic frame with square shoulders and a young, projectable build with room to fill throughout. Ran a 7.97 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, moves well on feet and shows athleticism, fields the ball out front and picks well with hands, moves well up the middle with balance and shows tools which should continue to develop, short arm action on throws across, carry to throws when on top of ball. Also pitched, balanced delivery with deliberate tempo, short leg lift, does a nice job of staying closed and creating plane down in the zone. Long arm action through the back working to a three-quarters release point, filled the strike zone and topped out at 73 mph with fastball, pitched exclusively off of it, mostly true in life. Righthanded hitter, begins with a slightly open stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate. Upper body dominant swing with a full path through the zone, occasionally opens front side early, linear plane to the ball. Shows ability to get the barrel to the ball and work all fields, bat speed will continue to increase with physical strength. Very good student.
