Quinn Buffington is a 2018 OF/LHP with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Camp Hill, PA who attends Camp Hill High School. Large, athletic frame with broad shoulders and nice present strength to frame, still projects with room to fill. Ran a 4.79 40-yard dash. Primary outfielder, fields the ball out front, shows a quick arm and gets on top of throws well from an over-the-top slot, stay on line with lower half and works through the ball very well, accurate throws to the target. Also pitched, leg lift parallel to belt, short hip turn at top of delivery, lands slightly open with strike foot while showing shorter arm stroke through back while getting to a three-quarters slot. Creates angle on fastball, topped out at 82 mph and filled the zone, true in life but can work in on righthanded hitters. Induced weak contact, maintained arm speed nicely on changeup at 75 mph. Righthanded hitter, begins with an open stance and high hand set and back elbow in the box. Small stride moving into contact, creates nice torque through lower half. Quick bat through the zone and shows present pop to the pull side, occasionally opens front hip early. Nice tools on both sides of the ball. Good student.
