Thomas Gonzales is a 2025 SS/RHP/OF with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Laguna Beach, CA who attends JSerra Catholic. Medium athletic build. 7.07 runner in the sixty. Primary middle infielder on defense, has quick feet and plays defense with lots of energy, good footwork and feel for getting to the ball, really moves well, big arm strength with real carry across the diamond, stays balanced well. Also worked out in the outfield and really showed his arm strength well, full effort but was accurate and on line with his throws. Right handed hitter, hits from a very deep hand load, long one plane swing, swings with intent, has the bat speed to get out front when he's on time. Also pitched and is a two-way prospect. Has a boxed delivery with a deep and full hip coil, short and quick arm action from a 3/4's arm slot, inconsistent coming out of his hip turn. Fastball topped out at 86 mph. Threw both a curveball and slider, slider had short vertical shape, curveball had similar shape but bigger depth and some real bite to it. Very talented player with lots of variety in his tool set. Very good student.
