Joe La Fountain is a 2019 OF with a 5-11 190 lb. frame from La Verne, CA who attends Bonita HS. Medium athletic build with good present strength. Left handed hitter, hits from a wide base with a slightly open stance, has some bat speed and hand quickness, stays short to the ball and hits it out front, has the bat speed to top spin the ball, middle of the field line drive approach. 7.47 runner, has good outfield fundamentals and footwork and comes through the ball well with a good release, developing arm strength, throws through the cutoff man with accurate on line throws. Good fundamental player with some strength. Very good student.
