Connor Hale is a 2021 LHP/OF with a 5-9 175 lb. frame from Ashburn, VA who attends Broad Run. Medium frame with broad shoulders and beginnings of strength. Primary left handed pitcher with a small side step to medium leg lift delivery. Works through gather quickly and utilized drop and drive lower half actions. Lands in line with front side and carries momentum well through finish. Clean arm circle at take back and released from a three-quarter slot. Worked to each side of the plate with a fastball offering that generated some run to arm side in the mid to upper 70's, topped at 80 miles per hour. Slider displayed tight spin with late 2/8 tilt in the mid 70's. Matched arm action well with a changeup offering in the mid 70's. Consistently mixed speeds and located while inducing weak contact. Also worked out defensively from the outfield showing clean, athletic footwork while closing to the baseball. Funnels to side and worked through exchange with fluidity. Utilized a loose arm circle at separation and released from a three-quarters arm slot producing some on line carry to the bag at 76 miles per hour. Left handed hitter with an upright, open stance and simple front side trigger. Created good lower half shift into contact with lower half. Repeated a naturally lifted swing plane with present bat speed. Generated good jump off the barrel to the middle of the field when squared. Excellent student as well.
