Katcher Halligan is a 2021 1B/LHP/OF with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Sugar Land, TX who attends St. John's HS. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and present strength proportioned well throughout build. Ran a 7.35 60-yard dash. Primary first baseman, fields the ball out front, shows footwork coming off the bag and works through the ball, short and compact arm action through the back, shows accuracy across and arm strength will continue to develop. Also pitched, works from third base side of rubber, stays short through the back with arm action and at release working from a three-quarters release point. Lands slightly cut off with front side, works down in the zone well with fastball, topped out at 74 mph, mostly true in life. Mixed 1-7 shaped curveball well for strike to disrupt hitter's timing. Lefthanded hitter, begins with a slightly open stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate. Occasionally gets to front side early at times, shows a line drive swing plane through the zone with quickness to hands. Shows carry off the barrel to pull side when on time and squared, stays short to the path and keeps hands in throughout swing.
