Daniel Perez is a 2021 SS/OF with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Greenwich, CT who attends The Cheshire Academy. Recorded a 4.93 second forty-yard dash. The primary shortstop has good athleticism as he moves well laterally and creates good angles on the ball. He has smooth and easy glove actions as he cleanly funnels the ball into a quick release while accurately throwing across the diamond recording 83 mph. The left handed hitter stands with a wide and even stance, high hands, a high back elbow, loads the back side with a short leg lift trigger, and has a short, compact swing. Generates good hip rotation with a power swing, quick hands, and a good launch angle. Secondary outfielder showcased good arm strength and feel for the position while accurately throwing to the bases at a recorded 84 mph. Committed to Manhattan.
