Will Eldridge is a 2019 LHP/1B, OF with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Bucyrus, KS who attends Blue Valley Southwest. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a high waist, room to fill throughout with physical strength moving forward. Begins delivery with a rock step and gathers on backside; high lead arm coming down the mound and pulls down to help generate plane. Long action through the back, works to a three-quarters release point, occasionally gets mistimed with release, strides on line with lower half mechanics. Fastball topped out at 83 mph, shows short running life to pitch down in the zone and maintained well out of the stretch; creates some riding life when up in the zone. Changeup was a nice pitch, generates fading life down in the zone with proper rotation; comfort in landing curveball for strikes too with 1-7 shape. Mixed both pitches frequently and with success. Very good student.
