Ian Moller is a 2021 C/3B with a 6-1 207 lb. frame from Dubuque, IA who attends Wahlert. Recorded a 7.07 second 60 yard dash time, showcasing good speed for the position. Large frame and mature build with obvious strength present. Primary catcher with a side straddle set up, stays low throughout the process and shows great flexibility and athleticism in the lower half. Smooth and easy actions with present explosiveness out of the chute, gains good ground towards second base. Extremely quick transfer and release, advanced arm strength with accurate throws. Recorded a 1.83 second pop time at 82 mph, excellent defensive tools overall. Right-handed hitter with a relaxed stance and low hand set. Hands and hips are explosive, looks to do damage with each swing. Quick hands and advanced bat speed, has good rhythm in the hands pre-pitch. Utilizes a lift and replace trigger, operation is quite simple overall but generates plenty of leverage from it. Easily creates lift and separation within the swing, easy and effortless power with heavy hands, the raw strength really stands out.
