Jack Perkins is a 2018 RHP/OF with a 6-2 208 lb. frame from Kokomo, IN who attends Kokomo HS. Strong athletic build. Low effort delivery, deep arm in back, not always on time getting back on top of the ball, extreme arm speed coming through, will rush mechanics at times. Fastball up to 93 mph, move velocity there due to the arm speed, ball explodes out of his hand, flashes hard sinking action down in the zone. Shows good feel for a hard curveball with good two-plane shape, developing change up. Key to development will be mechanical consistency, all the tools are there for a high level power pitcher. Excellent student, verbal commitment to Louisville. Selected for the 2017 Perfect Game All-American Classic.
