Robert Evans is a 2022 LHP/1B with a 6-2 206 lb. frame from Bronx, NY who attends P27 Academy. Strong compact build, especially in the lower half. Rotational delivery with a long extended mid-3/4's arm slot, creates lots of angle to the plate. Fastball worked in the upper 80's and touched 90 mph, gets big running life at times, right handed hitters consistently expanded the strike zone against his fastball, threw mostly fastballs this outing. Change up was a solid second pitch with the same type of run and sink. Rare slow sweeping curveball. Deceptive pitcher who can be tough to hit when spotting the ball. Good student, verbal commitment to North Carolina State.
