2016 Southeast Top Prospect Showcase
Luis Guerrero is a 2017 SS/2B/OF with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Larchmont, NY who attends The Loomis Chaffee HS. Medium-large frame with with athletic, solid build throughout. Ran well, clocking 6.75 seconds in the 60 yard dash. Sets up to hit from wide-based stance with big leg lift, lots of intent and lower half drive into swing with quick hands and very good bat speed. Direct to ball with hand path, gets off backside well, stays committed to the middle of the field and shows good jump off the barrel when squared and on time. Worked out defensively in the infield, fields cleanly with two hands out front and picks it cleanly with range to both sides, shows extremely strong arm across the infield with carry and online accuracy. Arm strength clocked up to 89 MPH across the diamond. Named to 2016 Southeast Top Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List, good student. Verbally committed to High Point.
