Landon Gray is a 2016 C/OF, 3B with a 6-0 188 lb. frame from Cresson, TX who attends Granbury. Large frame with a strong, athletic build. Ran a 7.42 60 yard dash. Primary catcher, sound behind the plate, quick transfer and release, uses momentum in lower half to gain ground on throws to second base, gets on top of throws, accurate to the bag, good arm strength. Shows a short, loose arm action on throws from the outfield, high three-quarter release, shows proper foot work, online throws with good arm strength. Left handed batter, starts from a slightly open stance with a low hand set. Clean, fluid swing path, quick bat with good extension, uses lower half well, gets rotational, hard contract to all fields. Nice power potential in swing. Very good student. Named to National Underclass Session 3 Top Prospect Team.
