Jack Barrie is a 2014 1B/OF/RHP with a 6-4 253 lb. frame from Maleny, AUS who attends Kawana Waters State College. Tall, strong, mature build, looks the part of a next level player. Ran a 7.45 60 yard dash. Bats right-handed, works from a squared upright stance and has a nice, quiet approach. Shows plus, prolific raw power and can drive the ball out to the deepest parts of the ballpark. Takes aggressive swings, and it translates into game action. Handles live pitching. Smart hitter with big bat speed and a second gear off his barrel. Next level hitter in the making. Shows good arm strength from first base and makes the plays to his backhand side. Perfect corner infield profile. Also took the mound, reaches 84 mph from a high three-quarter arm slot. Works from the stretch only. Shows a good feel for his curveball and shows excellent depth at 71 mph. Has sharp, tight rotation. Goes right after hitters. Also flashes a solid changeup. Very good student. Named to Top Prospect List.
