Keoni Cavaco is a 2019 C/RHP, 2B, 3B, OF with a 5-6 134 lb. frame from Chula Vista, CA who attends Eastlake. Young, athletic frame and build with good room for physical growth and added strength. Sets up to hit with balanced stance, good fundamentals and overall swing mechanics. Repeats swing well with balance throughout, shows consistent contact ability to all fields. Very low set behind the plate with good flex and athleticism, shows simple mechanics again with good fundamentals, throwing accurately and quickly down to 2nd base. Popped 2.19 and threw 68 from catcher position. Pitched as well, showed short and clean arm action up to 3/4 slot, balanced throughout delivery with projectable arm speed. Fastball worked 73-76 with good arm side run, able to throw strikes consistently. Showed changeup as well, with good fading action that mimics fastball well, very deceptive.
