Max Kranick is a 2016 RHP/3B with a 6-3 180 lb. frame from Jessup, PA who attends Valley View HS. Angular athletic build, room to get stronger. High energy delivery with acceleration to the plate, full arm circle with good arm speed,extended 3/4's arm slot, bit cross body on release. Upper 80's fastball, topped out at 90 mph, good running action down in the zone, attacks with the fastball and isn't afraid to pitch to contact, short slurve type breaking ball with good spin and a short consistent biting action. Did not observe a change up but that is the next step in his development. Good student, verbal commitment to Virginia.
