Joenny Vazquez is a 2014 C/OF with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Yabucoa, PR who attends Puerto Rico Baseball Academy. Tall slender young build, outfielder's build, lots of room to get stronger. Good arm strength behind the plate, loose arm with good extension out front, tends to stand up early to throw, young receiving and shifting skills, looks relatively new to catching, worked hard behind the plate, 2.01 best pop time.. Right handed hitter, upright stance, gets loaded and turned well, good shift into contact, short path to the ball, line drive swing plane, quick enough hands to turn on the ball, will benefit from additional strength. Good student.
