2004 Underclass National Showcase
Tony Davis -- Davis is a 5-11 sophomore left hander from South Florida with a slender upper half and more well developed hips and thighs. He topped out at 80 mph on his fastball in Fort Myers with a nice 63 mph curveball. Davis has good athletic actions on the mound and looks like the type of athlete who’s going to keep getting better. His mechanics are smooth and he has good command of three pitches. The curveball has a chance to be a punchout pitch at the next level. Good lefty that should add velocity over the next couple years. Tony is a good student.
