Troy Stokes is a 2014 OF with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Baltimore, MD who attends Calvert Hall College HS. Medium athletic build, good present strength. Quick twitch athlete, 6.47 in the 60, has the speed/first step to steal bases from the top of the order and play centerfield. Young actions defensively, will have to improve routes and footwork, arm strength playable. Right handed hitter, simple swing approach, quick hands with a short hand path to the ball, has bat speed, solid line drive contact with gap power, could develop more power with some adjustments. Intelligent player who makes good game decisions on both sides of the ball and plays hard. Good student, verbal commitment to Maryland.
