Jorge Fernandez is a 2012 C/OF with a 6-2 168 lb. frame from Yabucoa, PR who attends Colegio Hector Urdaneta HS. Lean athletic build, some present strength, very good projection. Diverse defense skills, 6.78 runner, short quick arm action, plus outfield arm strength when footwork in sync, long easy strides to the ball. Surprising catching tools, long arms but stays relatively compact, very good arm strength, accurate throws, quick feet shifting, 1.88 best pop time. Switch-hitter, bit rotational from both sides, long loose extension, shows better bat speed and some lift from the left side, generates some bat speed left handed, tools to improve as a hitter.
