Brandon Lopez is a 2012 MIF/RHP with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Miramar, FL who attends Miramar HS. Solid athletic build, stronger and bigger than listed size. Quality two-way prospect. Good athletic actions in the middle infield, has lateral quickness, plenty of arm strength. Open balance stance hitting, some wrap to start, good aggressive swing with bat speed, sees the ball well, solid line drive contact. Tall delivery with a short stride on the mound, compact arm action with a pause at the top, can get stretched out better, steady 89-91 mph fastball, mostly straight. Good tightness and depth to curveball, shows nice arm speed and late life to change up. Verbal commitment to Miami.
