Ivan Rodriguez is a 2011 OF with a 6-2 165 lb. frame from Plantation, FL who attends Monsignor Edward Pace HS. Slender athletic frame, good strength potential. Very good defensive outfielder, 6.55 runner, athletic actions, moves well to the ball, plus ML arm strength, low accurate throws. Open stance hitting, level line drive swing plane, swing a bit long at present, generates bat speed, good smooth extension out front, shows some present power, especially to RCF. Has really improved in the last 6-8 months, could be a very good one! Son of ML catcher Ivan "Pudge" Rodriguez.
