Levi Borders is a 2012 SS/C with a 6-3 185 lb. frame from Lake Wales, FL who attends Winter Haven HS. Slender long build, not strong yet but plenty of room to grow. Right handed hitter, simple load and swing mechanics, moves into contact well, uses his hands to hit, line drive approach, handles the barrel, consistent hard contact, will keep improving offensively with added strength. Clean actions defensively in the infield, good balance, quick release, throws carry well, likely third base future. Also catches, accurate throws, good transfer, still developing footwork, has potential at the position with work. Son of long-time Major League catcher Pat Borders. Good student.
