Ben Johnson is a 2012 OF with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Austin, TX who attends Westwood HS. Medium frame, strong and athletic, good baseball body. Good strength to swing, flashes good quick twitch actions, leg kick trigger, keeps hands back, fluid swing. Projectable power, low effort swing, short path, contact approach but has tools to develop power. Good in-game ABs, battled well with two strikes, made good adjustments. Good body control through throwing motion, accurate throws, made very nice throw to 3B form CF during the game, hit 90 on the radar gun during the workout. Runs well, 6.46 60 yard dash, moves well defensively. Signed with Texas Longhorns. Good student.
