Ryan Scarpetta is a 2010 RHP with a 6'3'', 195 lb. frame from Roscoe, IL who attends Hononegah HS. Very good athletic frame, some present strength. Tall and fall delivery, good hip use, stays balanced, loose long 2-piece arm action, ball comes out very clean. Steady upper 80's fastball, projects to low/mid 90's. Change is best off-speed pitch, good feel and arm speed, potential plus pitch. Soft CB, gets hitters off balance, proper release, needs better velo/tighter spin. Looks durable, competes well. He has a chance to be very good. Verbal to Valparaiso.
