Marcus Stroman is a 2009 SS/P with a 5'9'', 175 lb. frame from Medford, NY who attends Patchogue Medford HS. Stroman is a very athletic player who can do it all. He shows good actions in the infield with an easy arm that topped out at 91mph across the diamond. He uses an open stance and has an easy swing with good bat speed. He is short to the ball with gap power and gets good extension out front. Marcus has good rhythm in his swing and can flat out hit. To top it of he got on the mound for an inning and pitched in the low 90's. He also has a very good breaking ball with depth and sharp bite. There isn't much Stroman can't do on the field. He is also an outstanding student and has verbally committed to Duke.
