Trenton Lyons (2023, Memphis, Tenn.) was on the barrel twice in Five Star National's first game of the day. The Ole Miss commit picked up his first hit in his second at-bat when he kept the hands back and flicked a two-strike fastball into center field with some looseness with his wrist translating to whip in the barrel. In his second at-bat, the left-handed hitting catcher drove a fastball off the wall in left for an RBI double to help extend the lead and push Five Star onto the next round. He is able to create easy leverage with his swing path and has a frame that projects for plenty more strength down the line as he gets into a college program and continues to mature.
