SE Elite Champ. Scout Notes: Day 1

Will Curcio (2023, Woodstock, Ga.) showed off same pull-side juice in the 11-0 victory for the TG DBacks Scout Team. The Woodstock native finished up the game going 3-for-4 with two RBI and a no doubt homerun to left center in the 1st inning. The 5-foot-10, 180-pound third baseman showed advanced barrel control and a flat barrel path, leading to tons of contact. Curcio hit his homerun on the first pitch of the at-bat showing that he wasn’t afraid to be aggressive early. He also showed off the wheels beating out a routine ground ball to the shortstop. Curcio is a fun watch at the plate as he stays simple and drives the ball to all fields. He really turned it on last year and has only continued it this year in PG events as he is hitting .438 already this summer.
