Houston commit Nicholas Solis (2021, Mercedes, Texas) was on the hill for Banditos Scout Team 16U in playoff action. The frame is sturdy at 6-1, 220 pounds. He has present strength and a strong lower half. He starts with a small gather step into a leg kick above the belt with rhythm and a fluid hand break. He throws from a high three-quarters arm slot and does a good job of staying balanced throughout. He generated swings-and-misses with his fastball that topped out at 90 mph and commanded the zone well to both sides of the plate.
