The 8 am slot at the 15U PG National Elite Championship started off with a solid slate of games. Top Tier Roos American 2023’s came to Hoover with a pretty talented roster that included numerous highly touted players, winning both games this morning.
Colton Wombles (2023, Salem, Ala.) showed his usual quick twitch actions, impacting two line drives into left center field while impacting the game on the bases. The 2019 PG 14U Select Fest Alum has a strongly built, compact frame with plenty of room to mature. The primary catcher manned centerfield in game one, showing ability to read balls off the bat and using his athleticism in the few chances he had. Wombles, an Auburn commit continues to show off his tools each time we see him.
