Boone McLaughlin is a 2026 C/OF, UT with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends Memorial. Recorded a 7.45 second 60-yard dash time. Primary catcher with a medium frame and lean build. Traditional stance behind the plate with flexible lower half while receiving. Works under the ball on throws with clean exchange and high slot. Hands and feet will quicken up as he matures into his young frame. Secondary outfielder with fundamental actions and footwork on approach. Works through the ball with a one-hand gather and carries his weight with a crow-hop on throws to the bases at 74 mph. On the infield he displayed good hands and corner footwork. Clean funnel and throws across the diamond at 73 mph. Right-handed hitter with a slightly open stance and short knee-lift trigger. Turning the barrel over with pull side approach and future increased impact as he adds size to his frame. Excellent student.
