Jordon Lankford is a 2028 OF/RHP/SS with a 5-10 190 lb. frame from Geraldine, AL who attends Geraldine. Medium, strong looking frame with present lower half strength and room to physically mature. Recorded a 7.71 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary outfielder with developing defensive skill set. Comes and gets the ball cleanly, fields off his front foot and shuffles into release. Showed developing accuracy and arm strength up to 71 mph during drills. Secondary right-handed pitcher that worked from a compact, full windup delivery with a belt high leg lift and medium stride length out to foot strike. Fastball worked in the low-to-mid 70s mostly, peaking at 77 mph in this look from a high three-quarters arm slot. Strike thrower with developing command of the strike zone, fastball exclusively during this look, will continue to improve with mechanical adjustments and additional velocity. Will need to add secondary offerings to become viable option on the mound. Showed the ability to produce accurate throws from behind the plate during the catchers portion of the defensive workout, while displayed developing arm strength up to 69 mph during drills. Lastly, took part in the infielders portion of the defensive workout, where he showed deliberate footwork during the fielding process and a clean funnel. Recorded arm strength up to 76 mph across the diamond during drills. Switch-hitter with a similar slightly open base, high hand set and big hanging trigger. Intent based swing with some separation into impact, developing feel for the barrel and looseness to his hands. Showed some strength at impact when on-time, flashed more consistency and power potential from the left-side. Versatile, strong framed prospect that will continue to improve with proper mechanical adjustments on both sides of the ball and physical maturity. Excellent Student.
