Reese Dean is a 2023 OF/LHP with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Greenwell Springs, LA who attends Central Private. Medium and strong frame. Ran a 6.99 second 60 yard dash, 4.61 second home to first. Primary outfielder, attacks the baseball under control, fields it out in front with good carry to his throws up to 89 mph. Secondary left-handed pitcher, crossbody delivery that starts with a high leg lift, pitches exclusively from the stretch, takes his arm back to a full arm action up to a ¾ arm slot, creates an angle to the fastball and will sink the pitch when in the lower third, mixes in a curveball with 1-7 shape and a good feel for the strike zone with it, deceptive and straight change as well. Left-handed hitter, spread out stance in the box, gets the hands deep with load, leg lift trigger, fundamentally sound swing with good rhythm and leverage, gets extended through contact with a feel for the barrel.
