Manny Gutierrez is a 2023 OF/LHP with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Lincoln Park, MI who attends Wyandotte. Compact athletic build with good present strength. Left handed hitter, hits from an open and crouched stance, short and compact to the ball, has present bat speed and creates loud contact, can turn the barrel and drive it to the pull side, repeats his timing and swing well, hits with intent, polished hitter. 7.33 runner in the sixty. Attacks the ball aggressively in the outfield and maintains his momentum well into his throws, good idea on his footwork into his release, some carry on his throws. Also pitched, works from a full windup with a high leg raise, hides the ball well in back, lands closed out front for some cross body deception. Fastball topped out at 81 mph, threw lots of strikes with his fastball and attacked the zone, fastball is mostly straight. Curveball showed some depth at times. Good athlete with sound fundamentals who looks like he plays lots of baseball. Good student. Named to the Great Lakes Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
