Carter Tibbits is a 2020 C/RHP/3B with a 6-0 195 lb. frame from Medina, MN who attends Wayzata HS. Strong athletic build. Primary catcher. Side saddle start. Showed quick footwork gaining ground well from behind the plate. Flashed fast transfers and a quick arm with good arm strength topping out at 77 miles per hour while posting a 1.90 pop time. Right handed hitter. Utilizes an upright stance with a high hand and back elbow set up. Employs a gap to gap approach looking to drive the ball through the gaps. Showed good barrel control with consistent loud contact into the gaps. High effort swing with good bat speed and power. Uses a side step to medium leg lift delivery on the mound. Flashed a coil at delivery creating good separation. Utilizes drop and drive actions down the mound. Employs a full arm action into release at a high three-quarter arm slot with good arm speed. Shwoed the ability to throw three pitches for a strike with a fastball up to 84 miles per hour complemented by a breaking ball with good depth at 70 miles per hour and a 74 mile per hour change up with sink. Good student. Named to the 2019 Pitcher/Catcher Showcase Top Prospect list.
