Wesley Hancock is a 2020 LHP/1B with a 6-2 230 lb. frame from Griffin, GA who attends Spalding. Flashed a larger frame with an already filled out, stocky build. Strong build. Primary Lefthanded pitcher working with a belt high leg lift and drive while finishing open. Sits on backside and drives with a smooth arm action delivering from a high three-quarter arm slot. Great feel for the strikezone as he mixed up eye levels of the hitter getting plenty of ugly swings and misses. Fluid arm action showing more in the tank. Fastball showing arm side run topping out out 88 mph with a nasty, sweeping slider to compliment it. Changeup has advanced feel as well. Lefthanded hitter starting spread out before showing a hands sink into seperation. Loud contact to the pull side and then went on to spray it around the park. Consistent barrel finder throwing weight well into baseball. Proved he could go yard in batting practice to the pull side. Outstanding Student. Named to Southeast Top Prospect Games Top Prospect List.
