Marlon Mitchell is a 2009 C/P/OF with a 6'1'', 180 lb. frame from Riverview, FL who attends Hillsborough HS. Mitchell has an athletic build and shows excellent catch and throw skills. He has good arm strength and quickness behind the plate and popped a 1.76 in the workout. He has the skills to shut down a running game. He has a quiet approach at the plate and makes solid contact staying inside the ball. A switch hitter he has a line drive path from both sides and uses all fields. All of his tools project very well and he needs to be watched closely.
