2023 Class of 2026 All-American Games
Ethan Bass is a 2026 SS/RHP/OF with a 6-2 160 lb. frame from Northbrook, IL who attends Glenbrook North. Long and lean athletic build. Primary shortstop on defense, feet really work well, always on balance, works through the ball very well, quick hands with a quick release, throws well from a lower slot and has plenty of carry on his throws from on top, pure shortstop tools and actions. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread stance, has an aggressive swing approach and attacks the ball, lots of hard middle of the field line drive contact, much better game swings than batting practice swings, projects well as a hitter as he continues to get stronger. Also pitched, full hands over head delivery, quick and compact arm action from a tight lower arm slot, some effort at release. Fastball topped out at 85 mph with big running life at times, slowed significantly on his curveball. Plays happy and with big energy and is fun to watch. Good student, verbal commitment to Illinois. Named to the Class of 2026 All American Games Top Prospect List.
