Brendan Burke is a 2024 RHP/C, 3B, MIF with a 5-9 140 lb. frame from Phoenix, AZ who attends Desert Vista. Medium, square shouldered frame wiht a lean and projectable build, room to fill throughout. Ran an 8.48 60-yard. Primary righthanded pitcher, some tilt at top of leg lift, works with a shorter arm action through the back and gets to a high three-quarters release. Strides open coming down the mound at times but hides the ball well, worked mostly off of fastball and topped out at 73 mph while mixing an 11-5 shaped curveball at 63 mph. Stays low approaching the ball in the infield, takes an extra step moving through the ball and does a nice job of working on top of the ball with carry from a higher release, shows ability to drop slot on throws, short steps moving up the middle. Righthanded hitter, begins with a narrow and open stance with a lower hand set. Line drive path through the zone and swings with intent, generates some present bat speed with a hanging leg lift trigger. Simple approach and repeats well, middle to pull side contact, occasionally stays too inside the ball. Excellent student.
