2023 Preseason HS Prospect Showcase
Peter Frometa is a 2023 RHP/OF with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Coral Gables, FL who attends Westminster Christian. Big and strong build. Works from a full hands over the head delivery, high energy delivery with lots of parts that he controls well. Fastball worked consistently in the mid 80's with some heavy arm side sink and run. Change up had hard split finger type dive and sink. Sweeping slider with good depth was his best breaking ball, has the pitches to mix it up when he's commanding the ball and repeating his delivery. 7.11 runner in the sixty. Showed his arm strength well from the outfield, has some athletic bounce through the ball with a big crow hop into his throws. Right handed hitter, has a hanging leg raise trigger and a short stride into contact, quiet hands to start, creates good bat speed and gets some jump when he's timed up. Good overall athlete with the chance to keep improving and a chance to be a two-way player. Excellent student, signed with Swarthmore College. Named to the Preseason HS Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
