5/5 Game Recaps

8:00 AM- The USA Stars showed a great performance in their first game of the tournament scoring 11 runs on 11 hits against Florida Force. Evan Dempsey, Arjun Nimmala, and Tyler Macpherson all had solid games at the plate. Dempsey went 3 for 3 with a triple and 3 runs scored, Nimmala went 1 for 2 with a homerun, 3 RBI's, a BB, and run scored, and Macpherson wen 2 for 3 with a double and a homerun, 2 RBI's, and a run scored. Dawson Rankin threw well for the Stars going 4.1 innings, striking out 5, and only letting up 3 hits. Kingsley Guthrie and Juan Garcia both had a hit and RBI for the Force.

Gulf Coast Waves also had a good performance in their first game against Jokers Baseball as they scored 8 runs on 10 hits. Diego Hernandez and Jackson Geiger led them in hits with 3 and 2 while Jacob Corr led them with 2 RBI's. Alex Camarca had a great outing on the mound in 5.1 innings of work. He struck out 6 and only let up 1 run on 4 hits. Azlynn Gomes had a hit and RBI for the Jokers.

11:00 AM- Jokers Baseball defeat the Florida Force to improve to 1-1 in the tournament. Keaton and Parish had a great outing on the mound for Jokers throwing 5 scoreless innings, striking out 8, and only letting up 2 hits. They were led offensively by Garrett McManus who had 2 hits and 3 RBI's.

The USA Stars improve to 2-0 in the tournament after another dominant performance, this time against the Gulf Coast Waves. They put up 13 runs and 9 hits powered by Evan Dempsey, Arjun Nimmala, and Nicholas Balasko. Dempsey had 2 hits, 3 RBI's, and 3 runs scored. Nimmala had a HR, 5 RBI's, and a run scored. Balasko had 2 hits, 2 RBI's, and 2 runs scored. Kaden Lorenz had a hit and 2 RBI's for the Waves.

PBA Outlaws get a win in their first game of the day in a close game against Sarasota Sting. Cole Young and D. Rusto led the Outlaws in hits with 2 while O. Fernandez led them in RBI's with 2. Mr. Cannon threw 2 scoreless innings on the mound for them only allowing 2 hits and striking out 4. The sting had a pair of hits from Benny Hedgepeth and Domenic Fernandez.

1:00 PM- Sarasota Sting improve to 1-1 in the tournament after a win over FREEZE. Sting got out to an early lead and ended up scoring 9 runs on 8 hits behind a big game at the plate from Tanner Crump. He went 3 for 3 with a double, 2 RBI's, and a run scored. Hunter Wineka also had a good game going 1 for 2 with a double and 3 RBI's. Louis Marsala got a hit and RBI for the FREEZE.
